Not only has the execrable Go For It been replaced with the reasonably interesting Americana, but next week they are doing a 40 years post Stonewall feature, with Armistead Maupin talking about queer ageing (or aging as they insist on spelling it over there, which is extremely irritating when you are lit reviewing). Today is my last day at work for 10 months!  Well, I'm still going to be doing some book editing (intro and concl not even drafted yet, my own chapter may need further tweaks, all the second drafts of other people's chapters to comment on once they are in) but that will be from home and just odd hours here and there, so feels quite different in ( Read more... )

Del Martin has died. I never met her or her partner but I have a picture from their (subsequently annulled) 2004 wedding up in my office, as well as using a cut down version as this icon.
